Locals said that the thick snowfall has gripped more than two dozewn VDCs including Gurja, Kuinemangale, Muda, Muna, Takam, Barangja, Bhakimli, Ramche and Shikh. The snowfall is still continuing on Friday morning.

Owing to fall in temperature with snowfall and rain, the elderly people, children and cattle have been adversely affected. No one has come outside of their houses and vehicular movement in rural area has come to a grinding halt with abrupt decrease in mercury.

The day-to-day life and work have been affected due to dip in temperature, said Hari Thapa, a local.

However, the snowfall with rain is expected to better the crops cultivated in high altitude areas. RSS
