The coins shall depict the Saarc symbol on the head and the picture of Gautam Buddha and Mayadevi on the tail.
The Rs. 2,000 denomination coins weigh 25 grams and a total of 3,000 coins would be released, according to spokesperson of the Bank, Manmohan Shrestha.
Preparation work for minting 500 pieces of model coins began today, Shrestha said. RSS
