Nikhil Shakya, 24, of Kathmandu district was found dead in Phewa lake of Pokhara on Sunday, police said.

Shakya was reportedly swimming with his friend Dinesh Karki on Sunday afternoon when he drowned.

Police safely rescued Karki while Shakya died before the rescue, police said. Shakya and Karki were on Pokhara trip, it is learnt.
