Sher Bahadur has been admitted to the Metro City Hospital in Pokhara after he was injured due to electric shock on Monday. His both legs have been fractured while he lost five teeth.
Jasmati said that doctors involved in his treatment have said that Sher Bahadur’s two legs should be operated upon at the earliest, adding that she does not have money to pay for the bills.
“We (me, husband and son) are covering expenses for food and medicines till now from Rs 5,000 donated by local people. However, we do not have additional amount to buy medicines and cover hospital expenses,” Jasmati said.
Sher Bahadur’s father Motilal said they are struggling to manage two square meals a day and have no source of income to cover the medical expenses of his injured son.
Dr Chandra Bahadur Mishra said Sher Bahadur’s condition is critical. Meanwhile, local resident Bibek Shrestha and Sandip Thapa are collecting donations for Sher Bahadur’s treatment. “We need to save Sher Bahadur,” Shrestha said.
Sher Bahadur got an electric shock while he was connecting a wire to his neighbour’s house from an electricity pole.
