An inmate at Birgunj Prison in the district died on Thursday. Shiva Garbuja, a permanent resident of Dagnam-4 in Myagdi district, died while undergoing treatment at the Birjung-based Narayani Sub-regional Hospital. Garbuja was serving his term on murder conviction.  Deputy Superintendent of Police Basudev Khatiwada said Garbuja, a patient of high blood pressure, was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday after his health condition deteriorated.
