Girl, 13, raped and killed in Nimbukheda
A 13-year-old girl was raped and murdered in Nimbukheda of Bhimdatta Municipality-18 in Kanchanpur district on Thursday evening. The body of the girl identified as Nirmala Pant of Bhimdatta-2 was found at a sugarcane farm on the side of Mahandranagar-Ultakham road, police said.

A 13-year-old girl was raped and murdered in Nimbukheda of Bhimdatta Municipality-18 in Kanchanpur district on Thursday evening.
The body of the girl identified as Nirmala Pant of Bhimdatta-2 was found at a sugarcane farm on the side of Mahandranagar-Ultakham road, police said.
Nirmala went missing after she left home on Thursday evening to meet her friend.
According to Kanchanpur DSP Gyan Bahadur Sethi, police searched the nearby farm after Nirmala’s bicycle was spotted on the roadside.
“Preliminary investigation shows the girl was murdered after rape,” said DSP Sethi. “We have detained some people for interrogation.” He said there are no scars and wounds found on Nirmala’s body. (PR)
