Chairman and Managing Director of Kantipur Media Group, Kailash Sirohiya, noted that the annual event could not be held last year because of the catastrophic earthquakes. He also commended the radio station staff for the grit they showed when the entire nation was reeling from the deadly earthquakes.
“The way that our friends from the radio continued to update their listeners with the latest news and information in such trying times is really praiseworthy,” he said.
The anniversary opened with a performance by classical music group, Sur Sudha. The event also saw performances by artists such as 1974 AD, and Satya Raj Acharya.
