Supreme Court warns against privacy violation
Supreme Court on Monday reprimanded Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) for exceeding its jurisdiction while directing a raid at a law firm owned by Senior Advocate Sambhu Thapa, Legal Advisor Forum, in suspicion of tax evasion on September 6, 2013.

Supreme Court on Monday reprimanded Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) for exceeding its jurisdiction while directing a raid at a law firm owned by Senior Advocate Sambhu Thapa, Legal Advisor Forum, in suspicion of tax evasion on September 6, 2013.
Issuing a final verdict on Thapa Vs. CIAA case, bench of Chief Justice Kalyan Shrestha and Senior Justice Shushila Karki warned the CIAA against violating a person’s professional space and privacy without minimum due diligence and investigation.
