Sunita is the first person from Nepal to receive the award.
Danuwar was given the award along with nine other winners of the prestigious C10 award in the presence of Queen Silvia of Sweden. The winners of the C10 Award 2014 are ten exceptional leaders, committed to their fight against child trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation of children.
Each year, Sophie Stenbeck Family Foundation, World Childhood Foundation and Reach for Change presents the award to support and acknowledge entrepreneurial leaders of the child rights field.
Danuwar had won the Magsaysay award last year.
