A tractor met with an accident in Aathbiskot Municipality of Rukum West district on Wednesday night, killing five people and injuring nine others.

The tractor heading to Ghartigaun from Aathbiskot-9 carrying relief and construction materials for earthquake survivors met with an accident at 10 pm yesterday.

According to Police Inspector Dharmendra Khadka, who is also information officer of Rukum West District Police Office, the deceased are a 46-year-old man of Aathbiskot-10 and her 42-year-old wife, a 52-year-old woman and a 48-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman of Aathbiskot-8.

Police Inspector Khadka also said the injured are out of danger, adding they are being treated at Aathbiskot Municipal Hospital.
