Nepal on Saturday reported 33 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 979,762.

Similarly, 11 people tested positive in a total of 1,266 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.

As of Saturday, 5,760,766 PCR and 1,231,126 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.

A total of 1,201 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.

The country did not report any Covid-19 related death in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The countrywide death toll has reached 11,952 since the pandemic began.

According to the ministry, 967,496 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 16 of them in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 314.

In the past 24 hours, two new infections were recorded in Madhesh, four in Lumbini, 24 in Bagmati and one each in Province 1, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim.

Nepal on Friday reported 35 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases. Similarly, 36 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were recorded on Thursday and 51 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were reported on Wednesday.
