Nepal reports 62 new Covid-19 cases

Nepal on Wednesday reported 51 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 979,658.
Similarly, 11 people tested positive in a total of 612 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.
As of Wednesday, 5,756,566 PCR and 1,227,347 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 1,008 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
The country did not report any Covid-19 related death in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The countrywide death toll has reached 11,952 since the pandemic began.
According to the ministry, 967,445 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 19 of them in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 261.
In the past 24 hours, two new infections were recorded in Madhes Province, 46 in Bagmati, and one each in Province 1, Gandaki and Lumbini.
Nepal on Tuesday reported 38 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases. Similarly, 36 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were reported on Monday and 21 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were recorded on Sunday.
