An elderly couple were found dead in Jaljala Rural Municipality-2 of Parbat district.

According to the police, the bodies of Surya Bahadur GC, 70, and his 65-year-old wife Gamala GC were recovered from their home on Tuesday.

“Further investigation into the matter will only continue after the technical team from the province police office arrives,” said Deputy Superintendent of Police Khumlal Bhusal.

The couple, who have three sons, two of whom are in Korea for work while another lives in Beni, had not picked up multiple calls from the children. The neighbours were then asked to check on the couple who found the house locked from the outside, said ward Chair Prakash GC.

The Beni-based son had then reached the home to find his mother lying dead on the floor while the body of his father was on the bed.
