The Nepali Congress has scheduled its parliamentary party election for Gandaki Province for Tuesday.

The Congress formed a five-member election committee under the chairmanship of Bishnu Prasad Lamichhane, Gandaki province general secretary of the party.

“The election will be held to elect parliamentary party leader on Tuesday if the party members fail to elect the leader unanimously,” said Lamichhane.

Surendra Pandey of Gorkha, Mahendra Dhwoj GC of East Nawalparasi and Bindu Kumar Thapa of Kaski are the aspirants to be elected as the Congress parliamentary party leader in the province.
