Asian Cricket Council unveils fixtures for ACC Premier Cup

The Asian Cricket Council on Thursday unveiled the fixtures for the ACC Premier Cup scheduled to be held in Kathmandu from April 18 to May 1.
As per the fixtures, Nepal will take on Malaysia in the inaugural match at the Tribhuvan University cricket ground on April 18 and Hong Kong will compete against Singapore at Mulpani cricket ground on the same day.
The participating teams have been divided into two groups. Group ‘A’ consists of Oman, Qatar, Malaysia and Saudi Arabi apart from hosts Nepal. Group ‘B’ includes the UAE, Hong Kong, Kuwait, Singapore and Bahrain.
The winners and runners-up from each group will make it to the semi-finals.
The winner of the 10-team tournament will qualify for the Asia Cup which will feature global cricket giant India, besides Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan.
