Nepal name final squad for T20 Global Qualifiers

Nepal have announced the final 14-member squad for the ICC World T20 Global Qualifiers set to begin from Friday in Oman.
New entrants Bibek Yadav, Lokesh Bam and Sagar Dhakal have all been named in the final squad while Kushal Malla, Shahab Alam and Pradeep Airee have been dropped from the 17-member team that played Oman Quadrangular Series.
In the Series played to fine-tune the team's preparation for the Qualifiers, Nepal had defeated hosts Oman by six wickets before losing to the UAE by 25 runs and Ireland by 16 runs.
The Global Qualifiers is the final gateway for Twenty20 World Cup finals set to be played in October and November later this year in Australia.
Nepal are placed in Group 'B' in the qualifiers along with Oman, Canada and the Philippines while Group 'A' comprises Ireland, the United Arab Emirates, Germany and Bahrain. The two finalists will book tickets for the finals.
Nepal will open the campaign taking on hosts Oman on Friday and the Philippines on Saturday before wrapping up the group campaign against Canada on Monday. The top two teams of each group will book semi-final spots.
