On the occasion of International Women’s day, the Newa Chhen Art gallery in Kobahal is hosting a group exhibition of paintings and prints. The exhibit will be open starting March 9 and will be inaugurated by Ludivina Maharjan, the executive director of Classic Diamond Jewellers.

All 14 artists featured at the exhibit are Nepali women, namely, Sunita Rana, Pramila Bajracharya, Sarita Dangol, Jashmin Rajbhandari, Saurganga Darshandhari, Satya Kashajoo, Sadhya Silwal, Pooja Maharjan, Sabita Dangol, Kunti Thapa Magar, Deepmala Maharjan, Anamika Gautam, Namrata Singh, and Anisha Maharjan.

The premises wherein the exhibit is held is a restored old Newari home, a heritage location in itself. Entrance to the exhibit is free of cost and the gallery is open every day between 10 am and 5pm. The paintings and prints will remain on show -through April 30.
