Kamana Film Awards nominations announced
The third edition of the Kamana Film Awards is slated to take place on January 6 in Kathmandu, the organisers said issuing a press note on Sunday. Chakka Panja, last year’s runaway hit, has been nominated under 17 categories, including nods for Best Director, Best Script, Dialogue, Best Actress and Best Background music. Likewise, Jatra and Gajalu have received nomination for 14 categories each.
Along with Chakka Panja, Gajalu and Jatra, the nomination for Best Film include Dying Candle, and Ke Ma Timro Hoina Ra.
The nominees for Best Director award are Subarna Thapa (Bato Muni ko Phool 2), Dipendra K Khanal (Chapali Height 2), Hemraj BC (Gajalu), Akash Adhikari
(Ke Ma Timro Hoina Ra), and Nischal Basnet (Loot 2).
“The magazine was established to honour and develop Nepali film industry. As part of which we aim to award the best performances in the year 2074,” said Puskar Lal Shrestha, editor of the magazine.
The award will take place on January 6, 2018, at Army Officers’ Club in Kathmandu.
