The title song of the upcoming Nepali film Prem Geet 2 has been released amid a ceremony organised in the Capital on Wednesday. The duet, titled Kahani yo Premgeet ko, features vocals by Shreya Sotang and Rohit John Chhetri. This is the first time singer Chhetri, who is also a vocalist with the band 1974 AD, has sung as a playback singer for a Nepali film. 

The lyrics of Kahani yo Premgeet ko is penned by Amrit Marahatthha; while the song is composed by Kalyan Singh. 

A video accompanying the song, featuring actor Pradeep Khadka and debutant actor Aaslesha Thakuri, was also released via Youtube on Wednesday.

A sequel to 2016’s musical Prem Geet, Prem Geet 2 is written and directed by Ram Sharan Pathak and features actors Pradeep Khadka, Aaslesha Thakuri, Kailash Katuwal, Kabita Regmi, and Sishir Bhandari, among others. According to the producers, Prem Geet 2 is also based on similar motifs as its predecessor. 

Prem Geet 2 is slated to hit theatres on July 28.
