Nepal Literature Festival to be held in Pokhara
The fifth edition of the Nepal Literature Festival is scheduled to be held at the premises of the Nepal Tourism Board, PokharaThe fifth edition of the Nepal Literature Festival is scheduled to be held at the premises of the Nepal Tourism Board, Pokhara, in an attempt to introduce the taste of an international literature festival to the audience of the lake city. The festival will be held from January 29 to Febuary 1.
The event, which is Nepal’s only international literary festival, will bring together a galaxy of litterateurs, academics, journalists, artists and musicians for a vibrant celebration of words and ideas, culture and creative expressions.
Sixty eminent personalities including Baburam Bhattarai, Gagan Thapa, Lilamani Poudel, Yogesh Bhattarai, Rabindra Mishra, Rabindra Adhikari, Narayan Wagle, Buddisagar, Amary Nyaupane, Nayana Raj Pandey, Sharada Sharma, Saraswoti Pratiskhsy, Khagendra Sangroula, Rajesh Hamal, Dayahang Rai,
Vijay Kumar Pandey, Pradip Giri, Sarubhakta Shrestha, Manu Manjil, Upendra Subba and Subin Bhattarai will be holding discussions on topics such as Naya Shakti, leadership crisis, films, economic crises and a slew of literary topics.
Photo Circle will also exhibit some of works that were part of the photo festival Photo Kathmandu. The festival is jointly organised by the Bookworm Foundation and Random Readers’ Society.
