The Fashion Designers Center (Council), Nepal, facilitated by I/o in partnership with the South Asian Women Development Forum (SAWDF), represented Nepal at the CCWE Fashion Week and South Asian Summit 2026, hosted by the Ceylon Chamber of Women Entrepreneurs in Sri Lanka on July 18.

Designers Bini Bajracharya of ABiR and Mukta Shrestha of Muku represented Nepal, both showcasing their collections as part of the summit’s celebration of South Asian fashion, craftsmanship, and women-led entrepreneurship.

The CCWE Fashion Week and South Asian Summit brought together designers, entrepreneurs, and cultural leaders from across the region to celebrate creativity and cross-border collaboration among South Asian nations. Nepal’s presence at the event, facilitated through SAWDF and the Fashion Designers Center (Council), underscores the country’s growing presence on the regional fashion stage and highlights the contributions of Nepali women entrepreneurs in the creative industries.

“This is a proud moment for Nepali fashion and for women entrepreneurs across the region,” said a spokesperson for the Fashion Designers Center (Council), Nepal. “Showcasing our collections alongside designers from across South Asia is an opportunity to bring Nepali craftsmanship and design to a wider audience.”

The designers presented their collection at the event’s Grande Finale on the 18th. They reported a warm and overwhelming reception on having presented their local designs at one per presenter.
