Construction of the Rato Machhindranath chariot is underway in Lalitpur, with artisans working to assemble the towering structure.
The wooden chariot, built in a traditional style, stands about 20 metres tall.
Local craftsmen from Patan’s neighbourhoods are actively involved in the work. The chariot is being prepared ahead of the annual month-long procession that marks the rain god festival.
