The Joint People’s Movement Committee, formed to campaign for the restoration of the monarchy, took out a motorcycle rally in Kathmandu on Friday.
According to the organisers, the rally began from Sukedhara and passed through Maharajgunj, Gongabu, and Kalanki before converging into a gathering at Balkhu.
The rally was attended by leaders, including the committee’s coordinator, Nabaraj Subedi, and Rastriya Prajatantra Party Nepal chair Kamal Thapa.
The committee has announced an indefinite protest from May 29, demanding the reinstatement of the monarchy.
