Famous tourist destinations in Sindhupalchok district, including the lakes and snow-capped mountains, have become more captivating after recent snowfall. Since Friday, the area has experienced snowfall, accumulating up to four feet in some parts. Following the snowfall, people have started flocking to the region to play in the snow.
At an altitude of 4,200 meters above sea level, the picturesque Panchpokhari in Thangpal Rural Municipality has become an alluring sight, along with the trekking routes leading there. In the remote Bhotekoshi Rural Municipality, bordering China, trekking routes leading to Bhairav Kunda and nearby areas, including Chhagam, Bagam and Chokar Mokar, are now blanketed in snow, adding to their charm.
The snow has also enhanced the allure of several mountains, which had turned into snow-capped peaks earlier.
According to tourism entrepreneur Kumar Raut, the snowfall has attracted a growing number of domestic and foreign tourists, with scores of visitors arriving daily to enjoy the snow and the scenic mountain views.
Here are some pictures of snow-capped mountains.
