Teej, the most important festival for Hindu women is being celebrated with great fervour and devotion across the country today.

Teej blends spiritual devotion with traditional practices that strengthen social bonds.

Women from different age groups draped in vibrant red saris and kurtas visit temples and worship Lord Shiva and Parvati, to offer prayers and participate in special rituals since early morning.

Hindu women across the country celebrate Teej by fasting, gathering in groups indulging in jubilant dancing and singing.
