Roads and other structures are built over Tukucha River in the area.Post Report
A busy road caved in at Tindhara Marga, Kamaladi, in Kathmandu on Friday.
The road built over Tukucha River collapsed in front of the Office of Municipal Executive of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City. Vehicles were diverted from the stretch of the road after the damage.
Roads and other structures have been built over the river in the area. The metropolis had tried to dig up Tukucha to restore the encroached river. But the drive was stopped by Patan High Court.
The river originates at Chundevi area in Kathmandu behind Nirmal Niwas and joins Bagmati River at the confluence near Kalmochan Mahadev Temple in Tripureshwar. The river disappears from Narayanhiti Museum and flows underground for around 450 metres upto Kamaladi.
