Nepali cricket fans turned up in huge numbers at the Lauderhill-based Central Broward Park in Florida, USA to support the national team in their second game of the 2024 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup on Wednesday.
Nepal and Sri Lanka were scheduled to face off for the first time in an international T20 match.
Despite palpable excitement in the stadium, fans were let down as the match was abandoned without a ball bowled due to downpour. The game was called off after the rain continued with both sides sharing a point each.
The Rhinos will vie against South Africa in their next match scheduled for June 15 at the Arnos Vale Stadium, West Indies.
