Leaders, fans pay last tribute to Bhakta Raj Acharya

People from various walks of life including Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal, political leaders and other public personalities, among other fans, paid their final tribute to the late veteran singer and composer Bhakta Raj Acharya.
Acharya’s body has been kept on the premises of the Nepal Academy of Music and Drama for the public to pay final tribute on Tuesday.
Prime Minister Dahal paid tribute to the late singer by draping the national flag over his body. CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli and Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Sudan Kirati among others were also present there.
Acharya, popularly known as Bhajan Shiromani, died on Monday. He was 82. During a distinguished career spanning decades, Acharya sang around 400 songs, including such all-time classics as ‘Hajar Sapana Haruko’, ‘Jati Chot Dinchhau’ and ‘Mutu Jalirahechha’.
