Cricket fans brave rain to cheer for NepalNepal and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are competing in the final of the ACC Premier Cup.
Thousands of cricket lovers have thronged the TU cricket ground in Kirtipur on Monday to watch Nepal’s final match under the ACC Men’s Premier Cup.
Fans were seen shielding themselves with umbrellas while the match was briefly interrupted due to rainfall and waiting for the match to resume.
Rainfall is forecast for Kathmandu throughout the day.
Hosts Nepal and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are competing in the final of the ACC Premier Cup.
The outcome will open the door for both sides to rub shoulders against the giants of world cricket as the champions will join India and Pakistan in the Asia Cup final scheduled for September in Pakistan. The six-team Asia Cup comprises Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan in the other group.
