With the beginning of the harvesting season, farmers in the hill districts of Panchathar and Taplejung are preparing to harvest paddy from their fields.

While some of the paddy fields in the districts have turned golden, ready for harvest, some of them are still waiting to ripen.

Though the Tarai belt of the nation is known for vast paddy fields, the hills also have arable lands that have a bit different appeal to the sight. The terraced paddy farms of Panchthar and Taplejung are the same.
