Various places in Kathmandu Valley, including Bhaktapur, experienced snowfall early on Thursday morning following rain all night.

Normal life has been affected in various places of Bhaktapur including Nagarkot, Changunarayan, Nalinchowk, Gundu, Ranikot and Chyampedanda, according to Rastriya Samachar Samiti.

The snowfall also occurred in urban areas of Bhaktapur, Madhyapurthimi, Changunarayan and Suryabinayak. But the snowflakes melted shortly after the rainfall.

People have rushed to the hills surrounding the Valley including Nagarkot to enjoy the snow.
