Many people from Kathmandu valley rushed to Chandragiri hill to catch a glimpse of snowfall after a strong cold wave coupled with rains plunged the temperatures on Wednesday.

Westerly wind caused cloudy conditions across the country with many parts of the receiving rainfall coupled with snowfall today.

Chandragiri, located on the southwestern outskirts of Kathmandu Valley, witnessed sporadic snowfall today, turning the weather in Kathmandu valley even chillier.

It is the first time this year the hills surrounding Kathmandu Valley received snowfall.

Chandragiri, one of the highest hills surrounding the Valley, is a popular tourist destination with cable car service.
