At least three injured after a bomb explosion in Lalitpur

At least three people have been reported injured after an improvised device exploded in Nakkhu, Lalitpur, on Friday.
The incident occurred near the gate of the headquarters of Ncell, a private mobile company, Uttam Raj Subedi, spokesperson for Nepal Police confirmed to the Post. “It was a minor explosion but we are yet to get the details,” Subedi, a superintendent of police, told the Post.
According to Subedi, the injured are being treated at B&B, Alka and Nepal Mediciti hospitals. The injured have been identified as Urusha Manandhar, 25, from Kavre; Pratiksha Khadka, 26, from Baghdol; and Singh Prasad Gurung, 49, from Lamjung district. Manandhar and Gurung are receiving treatment at Nepal Mediciti hospital in Nakkhu while Khadka is being treated at Alka hospital in Jawalakhel.
Eyewitnesses said a loud explosion was heard in the area around 7:55 p.m. Police deployed a team of IED disposal unit to the scene following the explosion.
