M&S supplement goes big
After a year-and-a-half into its journey, M&S Channel and M&S weekly supplement—the two productions of the Movers & Shakers entity—are all set to take a bigger leap starting February 20.
The M&S supplement was unveiled on October 23, 2014 and its first issue reached readers on October 25. Ever since, the supplement has had a strong presence in the urban sector, especially the young adults of the city. From grave issues of the society to lighter stories of the metropolitan lifestyle, all glamorously packaged to serve its target audience, M&S continues to play its part in revolutionising the field of lifestyle journalism in the country. Pulling in the best in the business—from top fashion photographers Sanjog Rai and Kishor Kayastha, a dedicated stylist Dorian D to the country’s makeup maestro Sakil Kunwar—M&S has successfully put up amazing covers week after week. The decision to add four more pages to the supplement came after a survey that was conducted among its readers who demanded on seeing a ‘bulkier M&S.’
Complementing the weekly M&S supplement, M&S Channel’s first production of the series was aired on January 13, 2014 via its official YouTube handle—youtube.com/tkpmoversandshakers. It took only a few episodes for this all-English programme hosted by fresh face Oshin Situala to take the web savvy Nepali crowd by storm.
The YouTube impression report suggests that the channel has reached 4,926,754 people worldwide—Nepal being its highest consumer, followed by the US, the UK and Australia. After much demand, this video presentation will now be packaged into a 30-minute programme slot and will be aired via Kantipur Television, every Friday, 10 to 10.30pm. The programme is named M&S Video Magazine.
