The event led by Krishna Hari Baskota, secretary at the Prime Minister’s Office, took part in the plantation organised by the District Forest Office and community forestry group on the occasion of World Forestry Day celebrated on March 21.
The community forest covering a total area of 9.5 hectares was established a year ago and constitutes a total of 110 households as members of the community forestry group.
Besides the Rudraksha spalings, other tree species such as Bel, Lapsi and Dalchini will be grown inside the forest in the coming days, according to Ale Magar, chairperson of Angerdhari Community Forest.
