Lumbini Lions posted 143 runs in 19.4 overs against Sudurpaschim Royals in the Nepal Premier League match at Kirtipur on Thursday, setting a target of 144 runs.
Lumbini made a brisk start with D’Arcy Short hitting 18 off 11 before falling to Hemant Dhami. Sumit Maharjan added another 18, and the side reached 50 inside the powerplay. Captain Rohit Paudel anchored the middle overs with a steady 35 off 36, while Dilip Nath contributed 31 as the pair added 50 runs for the third wicket.
However, Lumbini collapsed late in the innings, losing seven wickets for 39 runs. Harmeet Singh and Abinash Bohara led Sudur Paschim’s fightback with three wickets each. Dhami picked up two. The final wicket fell with two balls left in the innings.
