Nepal announced squad for Women's SAFF Championship 2024

Nepal's Head coach Rajendra Tamang announced the 23-member Nepal national women’s football team for the upcoming 2024 SAFF Women’s Championship on Monday, with Angila Tumbapo Subba named as the captain. Subba, who also plays as a goalkeeper, will lead the team in the tournament.
Joining her in the goalkeeper lineup are Anjana Ranamagar and Usha Nath. The defenders selected include Geeta Rana, Amrita Jaishi, Samikchya Ghimire, Nisha Thokar, Puja Rana, Bimala BK, Hira Kumari Bhujel, and Sajani Thokar.
In the midfield, Renuka Nagarkoti, Preeti Rai, Saru Limbu, Dipa Shahi, Sabita Rana Magar, Anita Basnet, Amisha Karki, and Bimala Chaudhary have been called up. The forwards for the tournament will be Rashmikumari Ghising, Anita KC, Rekha Paudel, and Sabitra Bhandari.
Nepal has been placed in Group B alongside Bhutan, the Maldives, and Sri Lanka. The team will face Bhutan in their opening match on Friday.
