Fixing-accused Nepali footballers have appeared before the Special Court to record their statements on the charges levelled against them.
Five footballers—Skipper Sagar Thapa, Sandip Rai, Ritesh Thapa, Anjan KC, Bikash Singh Chhetri—were presented before the court today.
Police has filed a case of subversion against them and sought life imprisonment for fixing multiple international matches.
The footballers were arrested on October 14. All Nepal Football Association has suspended the accused from all footballing activities until the final verdict was out.
