Three Star ink Rs 6.6m sponsorship deal
Nepal’s top-tier football club Three Star inked Rs 6.6 million sponsorship deal with Ruslan Vodka, a brand of Asian Distillery Pvt Ltd, here on Thursday.As per the three-year deal, the Asian Distillery will provide the Lalitpur-based outfits Rs 2.2 million per year. Three Star will be named Ruslan Three Star Club and will bear the sponsor’s logo imprinted on jerseys. Raj Bahadur Shah, managing director of Asian Distillery, and Acting-president of Three Star Club Arun Man Joshi exchanged the memorandum of understanding during the signing ceremony.
Shah also informed that the two parties have agreed for a 10 percent increment from the original sponsorship deal annually. Ruslan Vodka is the fourth title sponsor of Three Star after Nabil Bank, Mega Bank and Laxmi Bank. Shah hoped their sponsorship will help develop football in the nation. National team and Three Star skipper Sagar Thapa and Sandeep Rai also unveiled the new jersey on the occasion. Thapa said: “Its a great pride for our club to be associated with the popular brand like Ruslan Vodka. We hope this tie-up will help motive us in scaling more heights in future.”
Three Star currently lead the Red Bull National League with six points from two matches. Manang Marshyangdi Club, who also have two points, are second only on goal difference in the 10-team tournament played on ‘home and away’ format. The National League resumes on Friday.
