Vote counting to begin in Gulmi from 10am

Vote counting in Gulmi will begin at 10am on Friday, following a meeting of all parties at the District Administration Office. District Election Officer Rishiram Ghimire confirmed the schedule.
In Gulmi-1, a total of 64,787 votes were cast for the direct election of the House of Representatives. Chief District Officer Badrinath Gaire said this represents a 53.02 percent turnout, with 36,028 female and 28,759 male voters participating.
The constituency has 122,186 registered voters, including 62,272 women and 59,914 men. Voting took place across 155 polling centres in 83 polling locations. Female participation stood at 57.85 percent, while male participation was 48 percent.
In Gulmi-2, a total of 53,114 votes were cast for the House of Representatives. Counting is currently underway in both constituencies.
