Eight people were arrested in Kailali on Saturday for possessing drugs, police said. The arrests were made in a joint operation by the District Police Office Kailali and local police stations.

In Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City–13, police detained 23-year-old Pravind Rana, 24-year-old Ghuman Rana, and an 18-year-old minor from Jhalari, recovering 1.08 grams of brown heroin. The arrests were carried out by a joint team from the Narcotics Control Bureau office in Dhangadhi and the Kailaligau Police Post.

Police also arrested 24-year-olds Dinesh Budha and Lalit Ranachhetri from Lamkichuha Municipality-1, seizing 420 milligrams of brown heroin. On the same day, 24-year-old Jagadish Saud of Janaki Rural Municipality-3, found with 130 milligrams of brown heroin, was arrested near Pioneers Boarding School in Lamkichuha.

Additionally, 25-year-old David Kathariya and 31-year-old Narendra Chaudhary of Ghodaghodi Municipality-12 were detained with 540 milligrams of brown heroin. They were arrested by a team from the Bhajani Police Office in Bhajani Municipality-9.
