One person died and another was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident in ward 7 of Sainamaina Rural Municipality, Rupandehi, on Sunday morning, police said.
According to the District Police Office, Rupandehi, the motorcycle went out of control and crashed. Deputy Superintendent of Police Ganesh Sapkota said the vehicle is suspected to have lost balance before the accident.
Ram Milan Dhawal, 60, of ward 7 of Mayadevi Rural Municipality, who was riding pillion, died during treatment. His son, Vinod Dhawal, 30, who was riding the motorcycle, sustained serious injuries to the head, arms and legs.
He is undergoing treatment at City Hospital in Bhairahawa.
