A 72-year-old man died on Wednesday after being struck by lightning on Thursday at Lisepani of Bhumikasthan Municipality-10, in Arghakhanchi district.

According to the district police office, Arghakhanchi, Yam Bahadur Gharti was sitting on the verandah of his house when he was hit by lightning and lost consciousness. He was rushed to Arghakhanchi Hospital for treatment, where he took his last breath at around 12.30 pm.

Other family members present at the house were unharmed, police confirmed.
