One dead in Panchkhal road accident

One person was killed in a road accident in Hanumangadhi of Panchkhal Municipality-6 on Thursday.
The accident occurred at around 8 am on the Araniko Highway when an out-of-control motorcycle crashed into another vehicle coming from the opposite direction while trying to overtake a bus, the district police office said.
Motorcycle rider Rupak Khatri, 34, died on the spot, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Raj Kumar Shrestha.
Relatives of the deceased have refused to let authorities collect the body and the two-wheeler from the accident site. Efforts are underway to resolve the issue.
The vehicle and its driver have been taken into police custody for further investigation, police said.
