CPN (Unified Socialist) leader and Bagmati Chief Minister Rajendra Pandey has been elected as a House of Representatives member from Dhading-1.

Pandey defeated his closest competitor Bhumi Prasad Tripathi of UML by a margin of 7,981 votes. Pandey received 35,934 votes against Tripathi who managed 27,953 votes.

Himesh Panta of the Rastriya Swatantra Party got 12,056 votes.

Ram Nath Adhikari of the Nepali Congress secured his victory from Dhading-2.
