Gagan Thapa elected from Kathmandu-4 for the third time
Thapa defeats Rajan Bhattarai of CPN-UML by a margin of 7,747 votes.

Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa has been re-elected House of Representatives member from Kathmandu-4.
As per the final results made public on Tuesday morning, Thapa received 21,302 votes.
He defeated his close competitor Rajan Bhattarai of CPN-UML by a margin of 7,747 votes. Bhattarai got 13,855 votes.
Thapa was a Constituent Assembly member under the proportional representation system during the first Constituent Assembly. He was elected to the second Constituent Assembly under the direct category from the same constituency.
He was also elected as a House of Representative member in the federal and provincial elections in 2017. He also served as Minister of Health and Population.
