Four people, including a minor, have been arrested on charges of kidnapping Sudhir Prasad Sah of ward 18 of Kalaiya Sub-metropolitan City.

Sah was rescued on Tuesday night from a house in Murli, ward 12 of Birgunj Metropolitan City, said Subash Bhatta, the spokesperson for the District Police Office, Parsa.

Bhatta said those arrested include Rikesh Kumar, Rajan Gupta, and Sikendra Sah of Sakhuwa Prasauni Rural Municipality. The identity of the minor has not been disclosed.

The Parsa District Court on Wednesday granted permission to keep the suspects in custody for five days for investigation on a charge of hostage-taking, Bhatta said.
