17 injured in Bara bus accident

A bus travelling to Birgunj from Bhairahawa overturned in ward 23 of Jeetpursimara Sub-metropolitan City on Tuesday, injuring 17 passengers.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Dadhiram Neupane said the condition of three individuals injured in the accident is critical, while others are in stable condition and receiving treatment.
A total of 22 people were on board when the bus turned turtle, he said.
The injured are receiving treatment at Mediciti Vayodha Hospital in Birgunj.
DSP Neupane said the bus driver, 30-year-old Sagar Neupane from Rapti Municipality-6, Chitwan, is under police control.
An investigation is underway, police said.
