Puja Chaudhary of Rautahat will contest the National Assembly elections from the Janata Samajbadi Party.

A meeting of the party’s work execution committee held on Sunday finalised her name, said Manish Suman, the party’s spokesperson.

The party has got one seat as per the power-sharing deal in the Nepali Congress-led coalition.

Chaudhary, who is the daughter of Samajbadi Party’s leader Govinda Chaudhary, was defeated in the provincial assembly elections held last year.
