Janata Samajbadi Party Chairman Upendra Yadav has been elected to the House of Representatives from Bara-2.
As per the final results of the by-election held on Sunday, Yadav defeated his closest competitor, Shiva Chandra Kushwaha of the Janamat Party, by a margin of 5,081 votes.
Yadav garnered 28,415 votes, while Kushwaha got 23,334 votes.
Purushottam Poudel of the CPN-UML received 10,216 votes.
Yadav was defeated in the elections held in November last year from Saptari-2 with a huge margin to the Janamat Party chair CK Raut.
